Industrial engineering vs Supply Chain Management whats the difference?
Seems like both majors can apply for the same jobs, ultimately. Industrial Engineering seems to have a longer and more difficult course load.
Despite this, it doesn’t seem like there’s any jobs that an Industrial major could do that a Supply major could not.
Anybody have any reason why majoring in Industrial is better?
There is a third alternative – Industrial Technology.
Engineers have a much better grasp of Math. Many tough Supply Chain problems are math-based. A SCM Major would be clueless, or would have to hire an Industrial Engineering/Technologist.
Engineers are eligible to get a PE Engineering license. In most states, this is not possible for a non-engineer, or is very difficult.
